Starting today, failed more than twice

Hello,
41 years old, been in the addictions since I was 13 years old. I’ve been clean before, but lately it has been due to probation or so… this time I want and need to do it for me. Any words of support will be appreciated. Thanks

Hey Rei, sobering up is difficult as is starting the road to recovery, but no matter how hard it gets, you can get through it because you deserve the life possible. Never forget that.

Great for you ! It takes lots of courage to admit it. Try and find a good solid AA group. Im on day 13 and that is what has been a great blessing for me. Sending lots of Hope your way !!!

Okay, just finding this post. Sometimes I am not around to read new posts and they get lost for me…same for others I think.

Welcome to the forum. It was real helpful for me when I first joined 5 years ago. I had drank for 40+ years and was at the end of my rope with trying to stop and feeling 100% defeated. This place helped, just having someplace to occupy my mind sometimes. I didn’t reach out much at first, more just read.

I don’t follow the cats or leg selfies or other threads like that. I mute threads like that so they don’t even pop up.

I hope you stick around and give the forum a chance. We are real people who are trying to recover from a variety of issues, substance abuse and mental health struggles. We are all doing the best we can, where we are at, right now.

I hope you are doing okay today.

Best, Sassy
