Canadians say “sorry” so much that a law was passed in 2009 declaring that an apology can’t be used as evidence of admission to guilt.

[Notoriously nice, Canadians are so polite that they had to introduce an Apology Act. In 2009, an act was passed which made apologies inadmissible in court. So, saying “sorry” meant “an expression of sympathy or regret” not “an admission of fault or liability in connection with the matter to which the words or actions relate.” Otherwise, there’d be a whole lot of Canadians in trouble.]

One of the most beautiful languages. Spot on!

A blue whale’s heartbeat is so loud that it can be heard from almost 2 miles away. But that’s not the only interesting thing about a blue whale’s heartbeat. On average, when it is at the surface of the water, the blue whale’s heartbeat is around 25 - 35 beats per minute.
The world’s largest animal’s heart weighs about 400 pounds — approximately the size of a small piano.

The female Kangaroo can produce both full fat and low fat milk at the same time in order to feed two joeys at different stages of development.

This ability to suspend a pregnancy is called embyonic diapause and almost all kangaroos and wallabies are capable of it. The advantage to this is that mum can replace a joey very quickly if she loses one.

The filling in Kit Kats is made from damaged Kit Kats.

The folks at the Kit Kat factory sure know how to recycle! Whenever a Kit Kat bar is somehow made imperfect during production like air bubbles or some other issue, the chocolate bar isn’t thrown out. Instead, they ground up into a fine paste and turned into a filling that’s then incorporated back into the production process to create new Kit Kat bars!

Antarctica is covered with ice an average of 2,133 meters (7,000 feet) thick . If all of the Antarctic ice melted, sea levels around the world would rise about 61 meters (200 feet). That’s enough to submerge much of the Gulf and Atlantic coastal areas of the US!
But the average temperature in Antarctica is -37°C, so the ice there is in no danger of melting.

Kitchen Secrets: Did you know that the meat used in Wendy’s chilli is from “reject” hamburger
patties? Patties that get scorched on the edges during cooking or break apart aren’t cosmetically suitable to use for hamburgers, so that meat is collected in a bag and later ground up and used as chilli meat.
