Today I decided to go out and get some sushi by myself before I go to my aftercare meeting at the hospital. I enjoy the sushi bar so much. It relaxes me and I get to be in peace if I want or I can talk to the people preparing my food. They have the best green tea and they serve it in a giant kettle. Just wanted to share something I find enjoyment in that doesn’t involve drinking. It is possible to enjoy time with yourself in recovery. Iv been learning you need to love yourself more than anything in this journey

I miss sushi. I don’t do fish anymore. I have made some at veggie sushi at home but it just isn’t the same as going out to a sushi bar. Mmmm.
I love me some sushi! I haven’t gone to one of my spots because I’m afraid it will be a trigger. My favorite thing to do was eat sushi at the bar and drink sake and Japanese beer galore. Sometimes twice a day even. Thanks for posting this, gives me hope I might enjoy it again one day.
