Swollen Feet

I’m in the middle of my third week. Suddenly my feet got swollen. Not terrible but it makes it a bit difficult to put shoes on. I’ve been drinking lots of water since quitting so I shouldn’t be dehydrated.

Any thoughts?

I don’t know how much water you are drinking but if it’s too much you can cause an electrolyte imbalance and it can cause swelling in your lower legs/feet. Try adding some liquid IV or something similar to your water. It’s crazy that you can over hydrate lol

It could be edema

This can be so many things, different for each person. It can have to do with liquid, food, weather, sitting, health issues, etc.

For myself, I’d document each part of the day and the feeling and view of swollen parts at the same time. I get swollen feet when I lack sodium. I drink water all day and it heads to the joints. High sodium has it’s own reason, too. I also swell in my feet when I am hitting the wrong leg spot in a hard chair - happens a lot during conventions.

Take every moment to see what your body is doing.

It is edema and likely will be transient if this is the first time you have had it.

Also, sodium intake will worsen it (where salt goes water follows). I recommend elevation of your legs&feet at or above your heart level at lunchtime and in the evening, consider compression stockings as they are helpful too. If breathing is difficult with lying flat you should get seen by your primary.
