As some of you may know, I have believed I’m a unicorn for 99 days. I count my days sober like this. Day two of my detox I found this app pretty spaced out with meds to help the withdrawal I became fascinated by unicorns. There pretty, beautiful, strong, bright, people don’t believe in them. For me they represent believing in magic that you can make anything real if you try. You could paint a horse and put a horn on it but can you call it a unicorn just because it hasn’t always looked that way. It sounds far fetched to some people I know lol but it really works for me to have that symbol I replaced coffee mugs pjs got new bedding put up pics round the house all of unicorns, almost like a little you can do this everytime I go in a room… believe… I just wondered if anyone else has a symbol or statement that motivates them??

ps. I also have a unicorn mug, pillow, hat, toy and slowly adding to the collection 
I love all things fairy tale.. think we all need a bit of magic in our lives

I don’t have anything yet but always on the lookout. I really need an anchor…a symbol to remind me of my goals. I’ve tried a few but they have seem forced. I’m still working on it.

I’ve never used a symbol, but I love this idea! I’m sure it helps to have constant reminders surrounding you.

It is like a comfort blanket for me, I’m sure everyone of us will find a symbol of strength when we most need it and expect it the least
