Coming up on six days. Haven’t made it this far in awhile… cravings haven’t been too bad but it’s sure on my mind a lot! And tired! Always tired! Is this normal??
I think so, starting at day 10 until now (18) I have had no energy. I feel better then when I was drinking but I am extremely tired. Let’s remember that our energy will get better!
I think so too. I’m on day four and feel better with other symptoms but I’m very tired. Im guessing it’s our bodies healing.
I’m going on 6 weeks and 2 days today. That is completely normal. I was tired the first 2 weeks. No doubt. Could not sleep well. After 2 weeks it was like a fog started to lift. Started to sleep better. I was trying to get back to working out and after 2 weeks energy was coming back. For cravings I substituted ice cream for alcohol and it helped, and I still lost weight. You are almost at that 2 week Mark which was the hardest for me. But so worth it. Keep it up!
I’m on day 9 and I’m always tired, when I was drinking I would stay awake till 2am just to finish any alcohol that was near by… now I’m in bed for 10pm and getting a good night’s sleep waking up refreshed.
I think my body is recovering from all the restless night’s that I only got 5 or 6 hours sleep.
Im on day 4 and finally the shaking has stopped. I feel the first few days im so restless and have probably only gotten a total of 6 hours of sleep. Im ready for regular sleep patterns.
1st two weeks I was always tired but now on day 33 and the tiredness is gone, try get yourself a immune booster and drink lots of water. Anxiety levels are next to nothing as well.
Day 36…I feel like I was totally drained for the first 2 weeks and then the MOJO started coming back…I find that as tired as I was and sometimes am after work hitting meetings always lights a fire under my ass…keep grinding.
Thanks for the input everybody. halfway through day 7 today and the energy levels seem to be coming back. I’ve always been an early riser so even when drinking until midnight I’d be up by 6 am. Now I’m going to bed sober around 9:30 / 10:00, still waking up at 6 but starting to feel much better!
Day 5, still shaking and tired BUT you guys have been keeping me strong and positive. I have made the decision to make drastic changes in my life. Eating healthier is one. I started a log and am going to make sure everything i put into my body is beneficial for healing and recovery. I had a terrible urge to drink yesterday but thought of you guys and staying positive. I think the outcome is going to be sooo worth the struggle. I bought a journal and am writing down thought to keep me positive and pros of not drinking. I want 2017 to be the best year of my life because it will be my first sober in 13 years. I see an amazing fresh start in my horizon…
but is this shaking still normal???
Thank you so much!
