Why is day five always so difficult?

Because we are still experiencing withdrawal, we can experience it with up to ten days, and for most we do. After that it’s getting all you’re emotions back. It feels frustrating and good at the same time, it’s gonna get better. There are going to be tough days, but like I always say, I’ll take the tough days over just every day being depressed, ashamed, filled with anxiety and guilt. I can now function and feel everything and trust my senses. Congrats on day 5 manz

And why is day 6 just the same?

Point being… Every day in recovery is hard.

The question you’d better be asking (yourself)
What helps me to make it untill tomorrow?
If you find an answer write it down.
Do the same the day after. And so on.
Then if a day comes that seems impossible.
You’ll have a whole list of tools and thoughts right there.

I’m on day 155 and it still sucks not drinking from time to time. But I just continually tell myself I just dont have to drink today, the future isnt my concern. Just have to make it through today.

I’m on day 212, nothing has changed. It’s day to day. That’s why the big book says One Day at a Time.

Day 11 is hard too…

Life on life’s terms can be hard.
