Katharina Grosse: The sprayed dear. Staatsgalerie Stuttgart
I love how the colours fill the whole room. She is wild!
How to train your dragon?
I was actually going to say Avatar! I love both sets of movies!
Visited the retrospective of Edwin Olaf’s work in Stedelijk Museum (the Amsterdam Museum for contemporary art). Olaf was a constant in my life for 40 years, one of the best known Dutch Photographers, as well as gay rights fighter. I hid some pictures as there’s nudity involved. So a TW is in place.
Self portraits. He died of emphysema two years ago.
Wow, these photographs are fantastic!
Tuesday morning is supposed to be the best time to visit Van Gogh Museum, but now it was snowing as well, and early January. I had my favourite paintings on the third floor (some of the last he made) all to my self for at least ten minutes. Crazy! Loved it so much.
This one with bunnies was new for me
Really love this Gauguin self portrait which was a gift to Van Gogh
And the special exhibit with portraits Van Gogh made, beforehand I didn’t think much of it, I love his landscapes so much, but man they’re good. This has been my best visit there in a very long time.
Awesome having that place to yourself!
Reminded me of my visit to Iceland and their national gallery in Reykjavík. Similarly, it was a random rainy weekday morning in the tourism off-season that granted me total solitude in the museum.
I saw an original Picasso in there, a bust of his wife at the time, that was pretty neat. Jacqueline with a Yellow Ribbon, 1962.
I am now also filled with dread at the thought of this trip being a decade ago already ![]()
Nice Picasso. I remember visiting the Van Gogh in 1975 (it opened in '73), which is over half a century ago by now

These are lovely. I was hoping you’d get the chance to go and also share with us. What a treat to have the place to yourself for some time ![]()
I love the aesthetics of your photos.
