Hows the coffee future man?

I sadly did not make a coffee this morning :pensive:

I’m sorry I’ve let you all down. I will post more future coffee pictures soon!

But here’s a picture from the past, which may be your future, or maybe the present. Whatever… It’s coffee!

Argh coffee stuck in a time warp…this hurts my head!

The machine is less important than the driver.
Expensive machines can still make shitty coffee if you don’t care about the details.
A good coffee grinder is as important, or more, than the machine.
Any good barista will take a good grinder and average machine, over a good machine and crappy grinder.
Not saying I’m a great barista, but do care about the detail in getting a good extraction

I would recommend purchasing a Nespresso machine @Natnat. What are your thoughts on these @AyBee ?
For those that CBA grinding their own coffee etc. :+1::slightly_smiling_face:
Oh and I got one before George Clooney started featuring in the adverts. :joy:

Oh @Pants you know George got you buying one!  I’ve always wondered if they were worth it. Do you like it?

I have one. I like it and the coffee variety, but I am no connoisseur. Frankly, I mostly drink decaf, tasty decaf, but still. And the pods are expensive.

Yes definitely, if your want good coffee but can’t be bothered with the faff of grinding the beans and using a perculator etc then get one. The range of different coffee from all around the world with their own strength ratings is great.
Yeah George was the reason, I thought that if I got I would become all suave and sophisticated.:laughing::joy::joy:

We get ones made by a different company and they are substantially less expensive, I will see if we have any in to get the name, I doubt that they will be available on the US though. I don’t doubt there will be a similar option over there though. :+1::slightly_smiling_face:
Also if you weigh up the cost against Starbucks etc then they aren’t too bad.

They do have a large selection to choose from. Love the espressos as well.

I just have a Keurig. I’m the only one who really drinks coffee in the house. My daughter likes to make tea so we use it for hot water too. I don’t like to spend money at Starbucks. Prefer my local coffee shop to them. I may take a look at the Nespresso as a birthday gift. Appreciate y’all chiming in.

I don’t do Starbucks, ever, not my thing. I do like my Nespresso…you get a nice cuppa quickly and no messy clean up. Before the Nespresso I used a pour over.

So the ones that we have ATM are alcafe and they retail at £20gbp for 50 pods which is 40 pence (around 60 cents) per pod. I’m not sure how that compares to the Nespresso ones but I don’t think that’s bad. :slightly_smiling_face:

And Starbucks is crap, we have Costa coffee but that’s still overpriced for what it is.

Most Nespresso ones are around $1 US.

All this talk about coffee is really making me considering taking my cappuccino machine out again! I have a Keurig and I love not having to hassle to get a decent cup. I prefer the stronger cup I get from the cappuccino. However, the mess and time it takes to make cappuccino, I’m just not sure…
Day 2. I woke up free of regrets and self loathing.
Stay strong today, everyone.

Are Keurig and Nespresso cups interchangeable or only fit their specified machines?

Only their machines.:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Thanks!
Perhaps I will take the cappuccino machine and just use it on weekends. Right now I’m going to fire up the Keurig and have another cup of French Roast!!

I use my Keurig every day. Coffee in the morning, tea at night. It’s morning here for me so I’m about to have that first glorious cup! Have a great day!
