We canceled all streaming services. I decided i wanted another music and movie collection.
It started with buying the stereo i dreamed of in my 20s. I found it on fb marketplace one day cheap as chips. Managed to hook it to the tv now I have the cinema quality experience at home.
So then came the movie pick ups. In 3 months we have amased over 300 movies. I need to do a recount.
Ill add some close up shots a little later. As well as to pick up from this week.

My wife and I’s small but mighty CD collection there’s a little bit of everything nearly.
We mostly listen to the same stuff we did as teenagers and what we grew up listening to at home as well as some new music.
I need to add to this but we’ve been so movie drivin lately. Will definitely be picking up some new cds in the next couple of weeks.

I still have a massive CD collection, but they’re in CD books. I saved all the jewel cases for decades until finally in the last couple months I’ve been going through and getting rid of the cases, but keeping the inserts. Kind of hurts my soul a little, but at the same time I know the cases will jist live in boxes for eternity.

I barely have enough room for my LEGO collections this forum got me into let alone starting to collect anything else 
.
Will say though, this is an awesome idea and gonna follow along this thread alot. Id be all for it myself if i had the room.

I would love a good steel book collection. Our one store than still sells PM rarely gets them and id be looking at $30+ per.
My goal is to 2nd hand as much as possible.
You have some really cool movies that fit in to my taste as well! Rad collection.
Saving the front and back slips is key. If you ever end up for more space and want to show it off you can re case them. Im currently missing a box of cd and dvd cases or ive lost them.

ive had to store my action figure collection to make room for this one.
I cant bring myself to hide my lego collection.

Me & My partner are massive collector of loads of stuff including action figures , movie & Tv & gaming memorabilia…I literally live in a museum and I love it .
This thread is going to give me a chance to share it all with others lol

In NZ we have TradeMe which is a localized ebay of sorts, have got a couple off there.
I use FB market place alot and pawn shops, 2 d hand stores, we have one retail store for new.
At most my 2nd hands are about $5 a piece unless its hard to find. Fb market place has ranged from 50 cents to $5.
Its fun digging through collection photos and physical collections its how I fill my days in alot

I did think about that, but I asked myself if I was actually going to recase 300+ CDs (and if I really wanted to spend the time tearing apart that many cases), and I doubt it. I am saving a few of the cases for special albums that I may put out to display, but keeping the inserts was the compromise.
Everything else has kept the orignal casing though, like DVDs, VHS, cassette tapes, vinyl, and video games. I just have a lot less of those.
