In two days, I’ll be seven months sober. At 5 months I got my beloved sunflower tattoo. At around the 6 month mark I went to a spa treatment to get my stupid face skin to behave like normal skin. My nose is practically sandpaper until I scrub it, so it needed some tlc. My skin has never been better!
On the seven month mark, I’m going on a “work trip”! My SIL (and also best friend) is a Youtuber of the gaming variant, and a gaming company invited her to an event in Stockholm. They pay for the cost of travel and hotels. She didn’t wanna go alone so she gave me the title of “camera operator and assistant” and started negotiating with the company. We’re going on Thursday and we’re bringing empty suitcases for shopping. Can’t fcking wait!!!
Again, anyway.
I’m on a roll lately when it comes to songwriting. Over the past 15 years I’ve managed to write maybe 10 songs with melodies. This year I’ve made four. And I recently befriended a musician who’s pretty well versed in any musical instruments she can get her hands on. She’s sober, too, and we went to a karaoke bar on a girl’s night with another friend on Wednesday. She was sober as well.
Which means that every single one of my closest friends (5, I’ve never had so many close friends at one time in my entire life) are living the sober life. And I’ve never had more fun! It feels like things are slowly falling into place.
