Easiest path to sobriety:
- Escapism by diving headfirst into hobbies
- Realism by diving headfirst into a program

Hiking/running/gym won’t get me sober. They are things I get to do because I’m sober.
Escapism might with dealing with things like, paying the bills, filing your taxes, or having that uncomfortable conversation to your employee about person hygiene… but definitely not for alcoholism/addiction.
Actually, no, all those require head on action.
Recently caught a guy looking at porn on his work laptop. No one enjoyed that disciplinary meeting.
At least thats pretty cut and dry… All you need is a spray bottle and rolled up news paper. spray, spray “No Charles, no… Stop it!”
I tried that thing with sports and I am still shocked how fit I was during my drinking days. Doing MTB marathon and cycling definitely hungover. It was all possible and I have no clue how I did it looking back. Maybe I was younger. But then I discovered how my much more training it required to stay at the level I had back then.
Not sure I get a vote because I don’t belong to “a program” but I did dive headfirst into sobriety media as well as my gym time. I would’ve failed if it was gym time alone… who knows maybe I’ll still fail someday because i don’t belong to a program but it won’t be today
Which are you doing?
- Living
- Surviving

Surviving, on my climb to living.
After working extremely short staffed, and not being able to eat the dinner everyone else is having do you:
- Make yourself dinner
- Go to sleep early instead

I’d also ask why couldn’t they keep me a plate of leftovers to eat
She can’t eat what is there for dinner. Tough spot!
It’s pasta
Guess I’ll try to get up and figure something good out.
Good girl!
Ahhh just read it again, needed my second coffee to wake up my brain
Most of the time living but sometimes just surviving if we’re gonna keep it real.
