The Stupid Polls thread (Part 1)

I would pay for a gif of you doing this.

I have had some very interesting encounters with wildlife over the years. Raccoons, geese, turkeys, and a feral hog.

I’m thankful that my encounters never end in direct contact. Could have been especially scary in the case of the muskox.

Though it wouldn’t have happened — we saw it a long ways off and did not approach. I’m told that if we’d accidentally startled it, it would have died shortly after the encounter. In that area, it would have been perpetually on the edge of starvation due to food availability.

I had a bird shit on me on my wedding day…

Add turkeys - they are dumber than a box of rocks and aggressive like geese when they put their teeny little minds to it.

That is definitely good luck! Wait…which shoulder was it!

That’s a sign of good luck, actually.

Will @Joanie’s prayer thread end up starting an argument worthy of locking the thread?

Was it one feral hog? Or 30-50? :joy: We don’t have feral hogs in my area however so I guess I shouldn’t joke

It was one, a boar. I encountered him on my first ever deer hunting trip, in Georgia. Chased me for what seemed like a mile, more like 50 yards…after I had shot him square in the forehead with a deer slug. Took him that long to drop.

Had to vote for myself!

I voted ostrich. But if you saw a penguin in an alley way in the dead of night and it locked eyes and said to you, “Doobie doobie doo”, then you had better haul ass to Lollapalooza!

I’ve never had either. None of these places I’ve ever encountered here where I live in Canada. But I’ve had a Wendy’s crispy chicken :chicken: yum.

I’m in Canada so no need to be sorry hehe. I think it’s our right of passage :joy: They traumatized my little guy in our last park outing feeding the ducks. The geese saw snacks and chased us lol

To deter them from gathering along the Ottawa River, they don’t cut the grass. Seems to work.

I need to go back to Ottawa soon. It’s been too long!
