Things that aren't things in the USA

17 years here and they still mock me,

When I moved to Texas I couldn’t stand y’all and howdy. I still don’t say them. But I write y’all and you guys. Lost the “youz”.

I have so much fun watching The Fighter with Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. That’s where I grew up. And that’s why I got the hell out. I think I’m going to put that on my watch list.

In January I went to Ohio for a business trip and I could have opened a both and made money on people asking me to say different things lol. There I was thinking I was hiding it… or toning it down haha :joy:

Ya I’ll write y’all but wouldn’t say it unless I was joking or something. Lowell has some tough spots. It’s a little further from me so I don’t know too much about it… other than going there every year of elementary school on field trips to the mills. Lol :joy: but ya that movie was a good one!

Do you get to taste test?

Same here in the only Kosher deli in Austin Texas. “ Say park ya caaa”. After a while I could be rude to them and I trained them well. I was young. When they ask me how are you. I’d say “what’s it to ya”. The tips were flowing just cuz I was, they thought, acting rude.

Ooh I wish! Sadly I’m a security officer so we don’t get to taste test, BUT we get very very nicely discounted drinks and get first dibs on new products! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Question:

Potatoe chips/crisps
Do you have cheese and onion flavour??
What’s like the most popular in other countries.

Just wandering out of curiosity

Potato chip flavors are my favorite thing to look at in other countries. SUPER regional stuff there. We’ve got “cheddar and sour cream” and “sour cream and onion,” two of my faves. Cheddar and onion sounds good too.

Also, I read Oreo cookies were reformulated for Asian markets after they didn’t do well there. I couldn’t find them while in Japan, but did find Cheetos.

Omg. They look the same, but they for sure don’t taste the same.

Yes
I remember them well living in England. But never seen them here. Except of course my house. But I use it for mail.
