- Don’t ruin a good day by thinking about the possibility of a bad day in the future. Just enjoy the present moment we all have
This is a great idea!
Here’s another one:
How about I make it through today? Just today. I can do it. Batten the hatches and tomorrow is a new day. It is coming.
Thank you Matt
Have a taco for Taco Tuesday! But if you can’t get to a taco, get some nachos- they’re just tacos that don’t have their lives together but still taste just as good if not better!!!
Actually needed to read this as I start the day. I was stewing in bad thoughts, and thought I’d come here to help a bit
Since you cannot do good to all, you are to pay special attention to those who, by the accidents of time, or place, or circumstances, are brought into closer connection with you. ….Saint Augustine… @RecoveringGhost
This was an instant click for me, as i’ve been just feeling Meh, had a Meh workout this morning, just no juice, no nothing.
I can totally relate. The weather in England has been shocking for weeks now. torrential rain for 48 hours in the west country don’t like my funk moods I know when they happen I need to take action. I’ve booked a high energy ,banging music ,fitness class tonight then straight to my meeting for my tea and coffee service with a chocolate cake in tow . As I give to the universe the universe gives back to me
I like the booking the high energy class to get things moving idea! I should have joined a workout class this morning. I can usually self motivate at the gym and have a great workout. Today was my first workout in 13 days and i just felt nothing. Then i sat at work and my brain didn’t work. I got my caffienated tea going and some rice cakes/almonds for mental fuel. That seems to be helping. Kind of like pushing your car out of mud…slow and steady!
I used to get lost in ‘what if’ thinking alot. Fabricating worst case scenarios that would cause me to spiral. Then one day came an ‘Ah ha’ moment…“What if that doesn’t happen?! What if I don’t actually know what’s to come?” Hmmm Challenging those intrusive thoughts nullifies them. This simple idea plays a huge role in keeping me in the present. Hope it helps someone
Thank you for this. I have a bad habit of going through “what if” scenarios. I live in almost constant fear, but my fear doesn’t have any spesific reason, it’s just a byproduct of my depression and anxiety disorder. Gotta try your advice! Thanks again.
Every day may not be great but there is something great in every day …
One of my faves
I needed to hear this. Thank you for posting
I heard a quote this week that I loved :
“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now”
Kinda helps me get myself out of the mental gutter, and get started on things I’ve been putting off
