Thriftshop treasures from all over the world 🌍

I got this gorgeous hourglass in a thrift shop near my yoga class, for £3.
It measures 14minutes, 30 seconds. No idea what that would be for!

I laugh maybe should be 15 minutes but over time 30 seconds of sand ran out.

Another fantastic teak fruit bowl for just £2 today. The waxy finish had become dull and whitish, but a clean in hot soapy water, then methylated spirit and waxed with beeswax and she’s looking stunning.

The harry styles candle holder is hilarious

I love ‘thrift’ shops and there are MANY in Brighton UK :united_kingdom:… i popped over to a second hand hand furniture warehouse opposite earlier today called Shabitat; which is a play on words for the chain of shops called Habitat.. I needed a pin cushion as I was sewing today and ended up picking up an oversized Vaseline tin and some needles and pins and cottons for a couple of quid! It did have a little piece of sponge in I used as a pin cushion.. sewn on my dads old patches on my Jean jacket , productive day..:raising_hands:t3:

My latest find: an old dirty covered with candle wax wooden carved candlestick.
Unfortunally I haven’t made a before picture. But here it is after I cleaned it and put some oil on it.

My husband hates it :see_no_evil_monkey: It makes him think of this:

And since he mentioned it I cannot unsee it either

Nice find! :upside_down_face:
I wrote my thesis with one of those, it was a real work out!
I still remember one of the letters has to be pushed really hard to get it hit the paper. And if you made a mistake you had to use a special kind of paper with white ink on it to cover it with.
