Tips for missing the chaos while in active addiction?

now that i’m sober, i sometimes find myself missing the chaos that was always there while being in active addiction. funny because while in active addiction, i always craved peace. i’ve always had a chaotic life and when things were peaceful i’d use self destructive behavior to bring it all back. i’m done being destructive and impulsive so does anyone have any tips for healthy coping skills to fufill that?

Anyone who has lived “that” lifestyle probably misses the chaos, especially in early sobriety. Despite my sobriety my body still wanted the dopamine rush.

Best thing I did to get through that was working the 12 steps. Eventually I became comfortable enough in my sobriety to engage hobbies to replace the boredom but my sobriety had to come first
