If I wouldn’t say it to their face I wouldnt say it behind their back’ That’s a good rule to live by
Boom!
It’s so interesting that a guinea pig can symbolize so much. Images speak a thousand words
That’s the whole reason I changed my profile picture from a selfie as well. Ever since I changed it to the dogs I haven’t gotten an unwanted messages
Hi Matt, sometimes it’s simple. I was stalked by someone I went to HS with, he was constantly trying to reach out until it got creepy, started to call me, was driving by my house. I didn’t feel safe. I left FB and all social media because of that. This is the only social account I have now, and that’s why my profile is Max. I wish I could say it was more profound. I do absolutely love all animals though!
Simple is good too
Max is a great pic! He’s a dog with a lot of layers too. He’s obviously devoted and loyal to you (as you’ve shared in pics and stories) and he’s endearing (like that photo of blind Max standing beside a wall, and if I recall correctly you shared that he does that sometimes, thinking he’s standing beside you or near you).
Max also reveals your caring heart. For example, you leave a shirt on the couch for him where he’s sleeping, so he can be comforted by your scent.

Just jokes
Fox is happy to be your bouncer any time.
I love your profile photo of the two dogs. To me it reveals how central those dogs are to you and your experience; your life over the last 10 years. Those ten years have been enormously eventful and transformational for you; they’ve been years of significant personal growth. Through it all - or at least, through the time they’ve been with you (I can’t remember if you’ve had Fox his entire life or not, I seem to recall maybe no? Not sure though) - through those years, those dogs have been your loyal, accepting, loving companions on the journey of life.
Like of all the interesting things you’ve seen in your hiking - and you have seen some spectacular sights, some mountains and climbs that perfectly symbolize your journey - the photo you choose for your profile is your two dogs. To me that says where you journey may be important, but to you, it’s equally important (more important maybe?) who is on the journey with you.
You’re correct, I did say that about Max standing by walls (looking like he’s being punished).
I usually throw last night’s shirt in the hamper in the morning, but he hasn’t let go of it yet. And this pic tells me Max needs a haircut!
Ahhh!!! That’s why I’ve never received dodgy pm’s. I’m a beach scene, not a person!!! I’m going to go with that. Thank you.
I’d hit on a hot beach any day
that’s the Yoda in you.
I like to think of his voice like James Earl Jones or like that,
When he gives his wisdom it just feels right, lol
Or changed categories to just for fun! It’s a lot of fun
I think it’s still relevant actually; it’s not derailing it. I mean, the topic of this thread is basically “ok folks this isn’t tinder, this is about getting sober, they’re not the same, so get that clear” - to me most of what’s happening here seems directly relevant to that
Well… I admit - the theories about what profile pics might say about someone is at best a tangent to the not-tinder topic. That is on the edge of relevance probably
That’s hanging off the edge holding on by a finger
I’m not mad about it though.
Ha! Good one!
