I just didnt drink one day at a time for 14 years NO matter what. At one point i did not have the power of choice … today I do. If I dont drink I wont get drunk!

Huge congrats on 14 years. So happy to celebrate your time with you! Im getting closer and closer 2yr 8mo. Best action i ever took was a leap of faith into the rooms of aa.

The longer we stay sober, the less power alcohol has over us. Eventually it has none.
I haven’t had an urge to drink in over 30 years, sober since 1984.

I have been very active in a program of recovery which I found in the rooms of AA and through the steps, fellowship, and service. I continue to go to meetings and dont drink between meetings.
