Far from it, but I don’t think anyone can screw up the views here on the Parkway when the sun is out!! Every view is like that, no guardrails tho, so eyes on road for driver!!

I am 80% terrified most of the drive. It sure is spectacular tho. :flushed::slightly_smiling_face:

I’m headed to a mountain cabin near Waynesville NC next month. Love those mountains! My sister usually tries to kill me on intense hikes looking for waterfalls. I’ll be sure to post photos.

Please post photos. I’m thinking of renting an Airbnb in Asheville down the road. It’s beautiful out there!

Hey @Charlie_C
I’ve always wanted to go where you are. It’s still on my bucket list. I’d love to see more photos when you got time. Or when you get back. I started this thread awhile ago. If you feel like sharing over here. Not sure if you’ve seen it.
Anyway…… have a fantastic sober journey.
 :ship:

What did I learn today? Picking up one of these, opening them. Smelling. Considering not eating them. Having a look online and says: have to try buuuuuut be careful of the spikes :exploding_head::zipper_mouth_face:
Going back, picking up another one, taking care and using a handkerchief, trying it. Not a fan. But now all my fingers are having these spikes, tiny little hairs hurting from the first time.

Am I on the wrong side of the fence? Am I the aggressor? Or am I in danger on this side? :scream:

Oh no chica! Yes, those furry mini spikes are insidious. A magnifying glass, bright lights and tweezers is your best bet for finding and removing them. I’m glad you tried them, though! I quite like the flavor but I grew up with them. In Spanish we call them “tunas” of all things!
