Treats that help?

What’s everyone’s treat of choice to help curb cravings?

Ginger ale, and iced lemon tea at the moment. I can’t do sweet treats because it might trigger disordered eating.

That sounds amazing! I’m going to have to try that.:yum:

No bakes. Best ever.

Tonight I made the best drink:

Cherry flavoured bubbly water, with a squirt of sugar free lemonade flavour and frozen mangos.
…omg it was such a treat tonight!

Do tell…

I hate cherry anything, due to growing up in bars and drinking Shirley Temples and eating ALL the cherries while mom worked. But, I have been on a grapefruit kick lately… maybe I’ll try it with a swap out!

Hi Sayla! I love to experiment with mocktails as a special treat. Something about the act of carefully crafting a drink, enjoying the taste, and then feeling clear and hydrated afterward rather than the effects of alcohol has helped me when I want a drink. I just perfected a Manhattan mocktail that tastes amazing. I also have recipes for N/A sangria, lime daiquiris, margaritas…let me know if you want any of these recipes. I also love a good challenge, so if there is a drink you are craving in particular, maybe I can come up with a tasty and fun substitute.

I also just literally took a shot of apple cider vinegar because I was feeling super tempted this afternoon. The bite and intensity of the vinegar got me over my desire for alcohol.

I tend to get cravings for sweet treats when I’m not drinking, but I don’t really want to eat a lot of sugar. Last night I tried making “golden milk” when I wanted something sweet at night – warm milk, turmeric, honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Non-dairy milk works as well. It kept me from eating all the ice-cream in the freezer!

I realize some might find it triggering, but kombucha helps for me.
