Hey again everyone,
I decided to keep the trend going and post every time I have a milestone!
Today marks two weeks with no alcohol. To be honest I feel like I’m living a different persons life. For awhile it almost felt like being sober was a new drug so to speak. Anyone else feel this way at first? It’s a positive change but somewhat of an odd feeling because my body was so used to poisoning itself for so long…
I’m getting a LOT better sleep now, although some nights are hit or miss still. I’ve had more energy to do the things I love. I’ve exercised 5 days a week the past two weeks. Walked around 2 miles each time I exercise (which my dog loves!) Me and my fiancé setup a home gym to help with that for the stormy days that have been lurking and so I can force myself to do SOME weight training (I’m a cardio gal lol). I’ve lost 5 pounds consistently so far, hoping to continue, although it may seem slow right now. I’m sure the calorie deficit due to the alcohol intake being missing has helped, as I’ve definitely been a lot more snackish haha.
What changes did you start noticing at your two week mark?
I couldn’t remember the exact quote, but found a similar one: “One of the happiest moments is life is when you have the courage to let go of what you cannot change.”
But also having the courage to keep pushing forward and accepting what you can change.
Have a great day! good luck on your journeys, too.
