That’s a pretty deck you got there.
Lafuma, wicker swivel rockers, reminds me of my stuff in Flagstaff.
And we got one of those storage bins here too.
Love the privacy trees. Again. Just like Flagstaff. Cept mine were taller. Yours are fuller.

Thank you. My brother just put in the new deck last year. Grateful for the larger space and sturdier deck and the evergreens

I love sitting there and watching life or whatever.. way better then tv. When I was biking home today I saw this garden store that I’ve been wanting to go in and I think I’m going to buy some things for the property to make it look better. Plus more peaceful to hang out in the yard. Zen Is a good way to put it. I’ve had some raised garden beds in the past and planted spinach, basil, and a few other vegetables and herbs from seed but I don’t really know anything about buying things to make the property look better so I’m going to have to do a little bit of research but I’ll get some other people at the sober living to help and it’ll be fun. Might buy some things that are already grown for along the steps and then maybe some thing around the chair. I don’t know.. I’ll figure it out
Ps: The only flower I ever grew from seed was called 4 o’clock flowers. I don’t know what the actual Science name is called but they’re pretty cool maybe I’ll try to buy them already grown.

I think that is a great idea. You mentioned being in a Funk. Planting is a great emotional boost for your mental health. You are doing great and so glad you are here to share this amazing sober journey.

Yeah it’s definitely a hobby that I haven’t practiced in maybe 10 years. I feel like I’ve briefly done it here and there but there was a period where I was really into it. Especially growing things from seed. And I was able to spot deficiencies pretty easily and knew how to take care of a lot of things. I read this book called botany for gardeners and that pretty much taught me everything. I’ve been biking past that garden store a lot recently and with summer coming up there is more options for growing. Or even landscaping in general I think more than anything I’m just going to find things that are already grown for now and just maintain them. But also it’s a way for me to give back to the sober living house. I will be leaving in October so maybe whoever comes afterwards can continue helping out.
And thank you for the kind words I’m definitely trying and I’m just moving towards the future but at the same time I’m not forgetting where I came from
