Vision Board / I AM / Law Of Attraction Thread!

Thanks!
I mostly posted about it in the lounge.

It is, my Dad was out here for a few weeks when I first moved in and we built a greenhouse in the back. Just waiting for the electrician to come and run some wires out there.

Things really couldn’t have unfolded any better!

Ooooooh I love it Mandi! All of it, especially the format, it’s so charming and beautiful. The quotes are breathtaking, I might have to steal some. I’m excited for your new journey!!! It’s amazing where sobriety takes us when we are no longer numb and so we are able to connect with our inner being and higher power! :sparkles::sparkles::sparkles:

Oh I love this so much!! It’s adorable! The fence is cute too and the greenhouse is perfect but I have to say that last picture is my fave. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I’m glad your dad is nearby too. Congratulations!

Absolutely, steal away! And yessss…I am SO thankful as none of this would have been possible without my recovery. I used to live my life around my addictions. Now I live my life around healing, connection and growth. It’s incredible how different and beautiful life can be! Even when it’s not easy, it is always worth it.

Aww thank you for sharing these! I love it, so charming. Wow, you and your dad built that?? It’s great!! I’m glad you guys had some quality time together. He seems like a great dad.
There is so much beauty in the desert. And that last pic with Cheif, awww I bet he is loving his new home!

Amen sista! If it was easy everyone would do it. I heard someone say “if you were happy all the time, how would you know you were happy?” It’s the contrast of life, the journey of ups and downs and being present for all of it. I will be keeping a look out on your thread for your updates!:blush:

I heard the SAME message this week lol. #synchronicity

But it’s totally true! For me, my growth also tends to come within the contrast-not when things are easy. It’s perfectly imperfect and I love it all.

I ordered the greenhouse itself, but we dug/built the foundation and secured the greenhouse on top of it. Then added extra stability/securing in 5 or 6 different ways to ensure it can hold up to the monsoons here and the heavy winds we often get (concrete, rebar, metal cables, etc). Had a few storms roll through and actually had a massive dust devil blow through my yard, she didn’t budge.

He is a great Dad, it was pretty hard for a bit when he left.

Chief is loving it especially. I had super liud neighbors above and nextdoor in my apartment and I think we were both constantly on edge because of it. I can tell he’s a lot more relaxed.

Wow, you guys are smart!!! That sounds like quite a job. Glad he was there to help you. I would have never factored in the wind and dust. I lived in the desert for years and the wind is insane. That thing sounds very solid, not going anywhere, lol. Thank you for the update, maybe I will make it back into the Lounge someday. Have a good one! Give cheif a pet for me.

I have to ask since its been a while, how’s the project building with dad going these days? I know in the past it could have it’s moments as our relationships with our family aren’t always the easiest to navigate, especially in early sobriety. I suspect you two have a much bigger appreciation and love for each other these days. I truly love seeing what you’re doing!

My boy Colton was always on edge at my old house too. There was always so much commotion and chaos, he really struggled with it. He’s an entirely new dog in this house. Our next adventure we are shifting into will be another adjustment for us both to see how things play out there. But for now he’s beyond happy and it looks like Chiefers is too.

It’s been considerably better. I think the distance has helped, although it was getting better before that, too. We occasionally get outwardly frustrated/short-fused with each other, but far less often and we are quick to call each other on it and apologize for it when it does happen. Much healthier.
