Visiting central london

I am alone in central london for next two nights (great portland street area). Visiting from usa.

Any ideas on things to do to keep me away from the pubs

Id try out the food lol they probably have some nice restaurants over there.

Walk through Regents Park (the zoo is also there)
British Museum
Wellcome Collection
Wallace Collection
Oxford St shops - Selfridges, John Lewis etc
Comedy show (but be careful if you want to avoid one in a pub)
Theatre show - musical, play, ballet, opera
Eat some indian food!!
Touristy stuff like Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, anything on the Thames
Walking along the West Bank
Southbank Centre
Covent Garden

Do you have any specific types of interests? London is a city where you can find just about anything you are looking for, down to the weird and wonderful.

Thanks. Ended up going to a vegan restaurent in camden and had a mocktail, then refemption alcohol free bar for a tea.

Days i have seen so much. British museum, docklands etc.

I have visited a lot of main tpurist attractions in past when i lived in twickenham. Nice to be back as tourist

Artsy place / area of galleries would be nice.

Visited tate modern. National gallery with lots of portraits does nothing for me.

The east end, Shoreditch, has lots of galleries and lots of street art of you like that. Street art walking tours are groovy.
Oh and going up tower bridge is fun or up the monument.
