When you stopped drinking did your weight drop alot?? Or at all??

Depending on your diet, you can. It’s not going to be noticeable immediately. If you’re not replacing the calories from the consumption of alcohol, you will start to lose weight. But if you’re eating McDonald’s in place of drinking; no. Would also depend on your physical activity.

Ok yea I’m trying to watch what i eat as well but not over do it. I don’t want to overwhelm myself at once

Yes, you don’t want to go full on Vegan right out of the gate while also quitting alcohol. That’s a lot! But if you watch what you eat and get some regular exercise, in about 4 weeks you shold start to see a difference.

Yea lol im trying to cut out fast food but alcohol is my first goal. I have noticed though i eat less because I’m not drinking and ordering pizza

Once you’ve rid yourself of alcohol (or at least tamed it), all the other things will come easier. Just like your already decreased cravings. You don’t have all the sugar from the alcohol making you hungry.

I can say i feel less full all that beer was not healthy. I really let myself go!! I plan on joining a gym down the road, for now i walk alot. Try to do 6 miles a day.

That’s perfect! It’s all about moving. If you can’t gym, calisthenics. If that’s too much, walking is perfect. If you’re walking/moving, that equals burning calories! When did you start walking? Same 9 days ago?

No about 6 months i think the beer just think i was drinking eating fast food for it to really do anything.

Yes. I weighed 238 when I quit, and now 180, which is 5 lbs away from my weight at discharge from the USMC. The first 10 or so just fell off, as I wasn’t getting 2000 extra cals a day from alcohol, then I walked for an hour or so every evening for 3 months, and lost a few more. The weight really started coming off when I took up martial arts classes, and also working out every morning.

I’m at 15 days. I’m noticing that the scale is better on Mondays than on weekends when I’m drinking thousands of calories and eating crap. I’m also waking up earlier and working out. The scale is slow to change but the pants are getting looser.

I’m so hoping that mine does that too i mean all those extra calories were not good and now better decisions I’m making i hope pay off. Which I’m sure will

Before drinking I was 115lbs. Day before quitting I was 156lbs. I was a chronic drinker from October 2018 to August 2019. I quit drinking 23 days ago and although I’ve only lost 3lbs, I look like I’ve lost almost 15lbs. I feel lighter if that makes sense lol seems alcohol was literally weighing me down, I couldn’t even walk 10 minutes down the street without dragging myself.
