All you have to do is cut certain things out of your diet and portion control. Itās reaaaaally not that difficult to lose weight. More of the focus is actually on what you eat over how much or what you do for exerciseā¦ As long as youāre not sitting all day everyday! These crazy diet plans keto, no carbā¦it doesnāt work because no one can sustain that type of lifestyle for a long period of time. Itās for quick weight loss. Counting calories but being smart about what you eat with your calories is your best bet. I like to tell people to do the 40-30-30 rule. Itās 40% carbs, 30% fat & 30% protein. If you follow that simple rule for your daily intake of calories, youāre golden. Thereās always room to tweak those percentages too!
How many meals a day would you suggest ? For the 40 30 30 rule or is that 30% each 2 meals and 40% meal or combined on one plate ? Im going to follow this and let you know how it goes thank you so much
So itās for your total intake of calories in a day not per meal. I fast in the morning so I only eat lunch and dinner but thatās my personal preference. I find fasting curbs my hunger and keeps me energized.

I mean you probably shouldnāt sit down with a tub of Cheetos and M&Mās. I found logging my food and being accountable for the caloric intake of everything and learning how many calories were in the foods I ate gave me a good awareness.
Stress is also a factor for people struggling with weight loss. There were times in my life where there was just too much stress in my life to even consider losing weight to the stress I already had.

Youāre SO right. Honestly, itās one of the reasons I became a health coach. We help people with all aspects of their lives. āPrimary foodsā are not actually food-theyāre what make up your life. So your relationship, religion, in our case sobriety, our jobā¦when we can breathe and say those areas are under control, we are more likely to be able to grab our nutrition goals by the balls & become healthy individuals the right way.
Yes, the hardest thing isnt to lose weight, thats somewhat easy. The very hard thing is to keep it off, forever. A crash diet will work just for a while. It needs to be a change in life style that you can sustain forever. And at the end of the day, what counts is how you see yourself in the mirror not a number. Its not about vanity also, its about the fact that a lean body with lean muscle is healthy for you, your heart, metabolism, etc.

I do the same thing. Lost 30 pounds for my daughterās wedding 3 years ago. Since then, itās been a battle of keeping off 5 creeping pounds. This morning I awoke to a shock. No wine, a weekend of hiking and I gained!! Surely, it canāt be the lasagne, homemade cinnamon rolls and nightly ice cream, right?

Accountability. How does it works?
Well Iāve been to the gym today, one hour. Didnāt weight myself in yet. Tomorrow morning?
Main goal mostly fat lost than overall weight as I donāt want to burn out all muscles by doing so, because Iāve done it before while during long distances triathlon training and I didnāt really liked the shape that came with. And I had injuries all the time because of the high-rep schemes of these workouts.
Now planing on working out 3 times a week with 2 swim and 1 long-run until winter.

Iām in the US. I live in Colorado. Today is the first day itās cooled off some. I just finished making dinner. Not hungry so Iām taking it for lunch tomorrow but hubs has to eat. Iām thinking of going out for a short walk now (almost to my step goal- says my iWatch ) but Iām getting another migraine. Not sure whatās up with that- two in 3 days. The doggies would like it.

(All wasmade with no nutricionist or gym ā¦just home training and some research for foods, what and what notā¦
Food ( what i dont eat or drink)

Pastas
Rice
Red meat
Cakes or any type of sugarā¦my only sugar intake is in fruits.
Saltā¦almost none ( salt makes liquid retention)
Drinks, what i dont drink
No juice or any type of sugared drink
No gas or sparklin waters ( makes the stomach bloat)
I just drink water,coffe or tea.
What i eatā¦this plan was ajusted during some months by research and listening to my body needs.

If meat chiken or turkey steaks , only eat white meat.

Hereās a great easy recipe I got at weight watchers about 20 years ago that wifey and I still like to eat. And since itās chili season over here; So easy to make. Itās very low calorie. And takes no work.
Dump and Stir Turkey Chili
I like mine with chopped onions on top and some hot sauce.
