I stopped losing weight on a diet… I don’t know what to do. But I will continue.
im terrible at checking in down .3 this past week. standing at 327.6. slow and steady. been doing overnight oats for breakfast, a couple quest bars for lunch, veggies for snack and a sensible dinner when possible. Still using I Track Bites to track.
Last year I weighed in at 224 pounds
Iam checking in this week’s weigh in at 153 pounds
8 pounds away from my goal weight

This morning had Greek yogurt 80 cal
A monster energy drink 15 cal
A dove dark chocolate for lunch packed a peanut butter banana sandwich my goal is to become a vegetarian by the end of 2021 and be at my goal weight of 145-150 8 pounds away getting there

But I am under goal weight.
I still want to play around in the 196-198 range. Instead of the 199-202 range. I think it would help my mindset. Something about those 2’s.
Basically, I AM maintaining so it’s a win.

Since I’m back in recovery, I want to really focus on taking better care of myself. Have my cold brew coffee and refrigerator oatmeal prepped for tomorrow. Will wake up at 530am take my pre workout and head to the gym for 6am. Should be a great healthy start to my Friday!
Great thread Trucker J! My goal is also 145 lbs. I’m thrilled I just broke below 160, down from 180 2 1/2 months ago. My sponsor and I take in the gym weekdays and am eating 1 meal a day. Hot lemon drink in the morning and thru the day instead of multiple coffees. Good luck on your weight losses sober friends!

Down 1.2 lbs to 158.2lbs . Quite the fasting going on here, I’m 5 foot 8. Still working on getting rid of my belly. Enjoying the elliptical at the gym by getting the heart rate up and feeling some endorphins. We can do this
12 lbs over, getting closer. Back to the gym tomorrow and one meal a day. I know I’m obsessing but it feels good to be concerned about my health now, 180 degrees from escaping to get high. Stay healthy and congrats on all our progress es. We’re in this together
Hi all, just to say I will be joining this thread. I have been obese (hate that word) since I was 12, generally weighing 240 lbs at 5’4. Have tried everything to lose weight but have trouble sticking to it for long enough (just like sobriety, eh?) And yes I am Canadian.
Now I am about 265 (BMI 43) and the opportunity has come up for me to have Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy surgery where they will cut out most of my stomach and make it resemble a banana. Could take place as early as Dec.7.
This is not an easy fix it will require major diet changes for life really. Which means no more binge eating or overeating. I like how @ xxx puts it, sober from overeating.
I have to start tomorrow for the pre-surgery period (except for 1 week prior to surgery where I will be on shakes only). So as of tomorrow:
No more overeating
No more ordering out, goodbye UberEats
No more diet coke, water it is!
Prepare all meals at home
Plan all meals
Prep meals as much as possible
Lots more veggies accompanying lean protein and bit of carbs
Get up earlier in morning so not starving at noon.
Decrease caffeine
Walk as much as possible goal 10000 steps
If I can get clean (102 days from meth) I can do this too. Will have help from the clinic but wilbe checking in here for the great ideas and support.

Checking in tonight after a pretty good day.
Chose the ‘Healthy Breakfast’ at the hotel which was fruit, Greek yogurt with sliced almonds, and a small muffin. (I know muffins are evil but the alternative was fried stuff).
That held me til dinner I had a garden salad with feta cheese and 3 eggs. Should have maybe been 2 eggs, however.
Drank some water today felt good and was a real diuretic, however decided to finish last 2 bottles of diet coke in my fridge. Won’t buy more though.
Shopped and planned for breakfast and lunch tomorrow breakfast is Greek yogurt with berries and a bit of granola, lunch is a salad.
Had to do a lot of long distance driving today so no steps done.
