I will. I was in a weire kinda depressed mood the other night. Talking here definitely helps. Just got home from work. Was a very long night. Saw about 15 deer and almost hit one. I hate deer so much. Why i drive home 10 under the speed limit when i get on the country roads.

Thank you! Its been a very long time since i hit a full week. I like chatting here. Its easier to talk about things. How are you doing?

Keep going, @Techpro92. Be proud of every single day, every single hour. It gets easier --like way easier and better. Focus on the wins when you’re feeling down. And try to think of any activity you enjoy that will take you “out of yourself” for a bit: exercise, getting out in nature, some hobby you enjoy

Doing well
 thanks for asking.
I’m glad this place is helpful in chatting. Take time to check out the other threads and possibly start building your toolbox with items to help you beat this addiction. Let’s make today your day 1 :muscle:t4::pray:t4:
Make a plan to do something where you can’t drink during the hours that you struggle. Even if it is just logging on here for those hours to read around. Make sure you don’t have anything at home so that you can be safe from temptation when the urges hit.

Tired and cranky. But other wise going week number two. Or i completed week two. I don’t remember. I stayed at home all weekend because i knew id most likely give in if i left the house. Headed to work in a couple hours.

2nd week!!! That’s awesome friend. It’s normal to feel tired and cranky
just keep pushing ahead :muscle:t4::muscle:t4: it does get easier.

Smart to stay indoors and away from temptation. You are doing great in protecting your sobriety. ODAAT :pray:t4:

Well, im tired cause i work night shift and no one cares that im sleeping during the day. I get woken up multiple times and usually only get 3-4 hours of sleep. It is very hard to go back to sleep once im woken up. But then im expected to be quiet during the night on my days off or when i get home. Its infuriating. But thank you.

Thanks. I need all the rooting i can get. Time to head to work.

Aah I see. That has got to be frustrating and I’m sorry. I can’t imagine working nights and living in a home that operates on an opposite schedule.

I do hope you are able to find a way to get some rest. :pray:t4:Not sure if you have tried or if it would help - my sister uses a white noise machine and sometimes ear plugs.

I generally dislike things in my ears when trying to sleep. Its too quiet. But sometimes ill listen to sounds of rain and storms on my phone when i fall asleep. Managed another weekend of no drinking. But i had a migraine almost all weekend. So, that helped with the urges i had. Was almost like god gave me a migraine on purpose. Cause i caught myself thinking about drinking prior to that.

I’m the same way with things in my ears. The sleep machines are like sounds from phone but at a frequency that helps keep the noise outside your room almost on existent. That is what my sister says anyways. I don’t have one so can’t vouch for it.

Sorry you had the migraine but grateful it helped you keep sober. ODAAT!
