I wonder what the go is with sobriety irregular bowel movements? I can’t imagine the pain of breaking your shoulder! Sorry for your shoulder pain reemerging. What are you doing pain management?

If I’m understanding you, there may be heartbreak involved. Whatever it is brother, I hope you can find some peace.

Sleep deprivation really takes a toll. Waiting for your test results wouldn’t help your cause. When do you find out the results?

I was trying to find answes online but everything i found seemed pretty inconclusive but it seems it may be that its from damage to the intestinal track from the alcohol. The other thing it could possibly be is the withdrawals wrecking havock on the endorphins and stuff and th fact that the body is a complex system. Like serotonin and dopamine are most notably known for there emotional regulation but I’ve heard that one of them ia responsible for temperature regulation or or how we precieve temperature psychologically. Basically getting into systems theory of psychology

Have no idea or how ill find out

What a wholesome and healthy legacy to create with your young ones and friends. The photos are breathtaking! I am on a mini vacation when I look at them. That cold plunge would certainly be an effort, but worth it after 8km elevation hike. The last time I saw beautiful scenery like your photos was in BC, Canada and Switzerland. I live in Queensland, Australia where hikes have their own beauty, but I miss mountain hikes like this.

A man and his dog in the wilderness. What a lovely picture that creates in my mind. I too would be wary of overnight camping in dangerous wildlife territory. Having said that, we have all sorts of dangerous animals here. I guess it’s what you’re accustomed to.

Just watch some mrballen on YouTube and you’ll feel much better about it. /s but in a serious note there is nothing like getting away and immersing yourself in nature. Really reminds you there is more to life than the hustle and bustle and drama and bs

Thanks for the research summary. Saves me having to do some right now. The alcohol damage to the intestines sounds a likely cause, considering I would skull 1-2 bottles of wine most nights. I wonder how alcohol was helping to keep me regular? I see you need some sleep. Drop out whenever you need.

This is about the best explanation ive found… Alcohol irritates the gut, causing inflammation in the lining of the intestines, which stops the gut from absorbing nutrients as well as usual. Anything that the body cannot absorb will pass through the gut and out of the body as waste.

Therefore, the body may produce more waste than normal after a person drinks alcohol, and this may cause them to have more frequent bowel movements.

Also another interesting thing is looking online it seems diarrhea and constipation may be more common from withdrawals but everyone in here just says they get constipated. Either way as you can see it just comes down to the body is a complex system and needs time to adjust and heal. If it gets real bad is recommend colance

Been thinking about looking into smart. Found one video online that changed my perspective on things from there YouTube channel. Also been looking at dr.k from healthygamergg on there who also backs up basically everything that video said. Highly recommend checking him out he has a phd from i believe Harvard and before he ever started on that was studying to become a monk (he is indian but born in the us but spent some time over there. Its an interesting story) and kind of incorporates that into things but while mostly coming from a psychology perspective.

Hey @Elyse, it really depends on the person and DOC. I use to eat about 3 times a week with my DOC. As soon as I stopped, I gained 100 lbs lol now I’m back to normal. Took about 3 years to regulate my eating. I love food :yum:
