Today for my recovery I am:
- Checking in on TS
- Praying
- Exercising
I agree we including you now is the greatest sober community!
Today I am: Keeping close to my program by going to a lunchtime meeting, a local one I don’t usually go to bc it’s so inconvenient. Starting the day with daily readings that tune up my mindset. Posting my check in and day count on that thread here. Keeping top of mind the motto of the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Massachusetts: It’s better to do nothing, than waste your time.
Great work all around. Grateful the dark thoughts are disappearing. Great to see you working through the urges. Keep up the amazing work friend ![]()

Today I am not getting complacent. Not loitering with intent to recover. First, Gratitude list group text. Meeting of my home group, and lunch after, to make sure the meeting stays in the solution but ppl can talk about their personal problems afterwards. Reading and posting to actual recovery threads here, and shaking the dust from my shoes where that’s a better choice. Working at my business, then possibly a pick up shift at the free medical clinic. Ending the day with pick up hockey, sauna, and group dinner. Built in flexibility, bc I’m still early days and can get tired. Daily review, and prayer and meditation practice.

Spending my morning
here on TS!

Like most days, reading here and reminding myself that I am a very fortunate recovering alcoholic!
This morning I started my day here.
I went to work enthusiastic and hangover free. I spent some of my lunch break here.
I worked hard all afternoon and I feel good about myself. Im proud of myself.
This evening Ive been catching up on a lot of threads that I haven’t made time for in a while.
I texted my kid.
I ate a healthy dinner.
Im going to bed early for self care.
Going about my day as any other person would who doesn’t drink, only probably appreciating it more because I know the alternative.
Having a soak in a hot bath while reading on here.

- Creating more music (I do a project called Selym Drive)
- Drumming (it helps with aggression and anger)
- Enjoying an entire day with very little phone usage and being with my son
- Posting here and reflecting on life as of this point.
Long quiet walk in the forest looking for elusive elk!
Dinner with my sober sweetheart!
I woke up early and listened to a zoom meeting.
I checked in here.
I started working and realized I didnt have to hurry back so I relaxed and ate healthy.
I stayed active here throughout the day, and im about to probably fall asleep listening to a zoom meeting.
Oh yeah. I went out of my way to help phil promote his youtube channel and i helped him get enough subscribers to start livestreaming. I didnt have to do that, but it made me feel good and killed any chance of feeling guilty for quitting.
No guilt is really good for my recovery.
