What are your 2026 goals?

Hey everyone! I’m working on writing some resolutions for the new year and I’ve noticed some chatter around the forum about others’ goal-setting. I want to be future-focused right now and I would love to hear what goals are being set, if anyone is comfortable sharing.

I do know that resolutions are a kinda controversial concept- no worries if they aren’t your thing!

Great thread idea, @Madds

Mine are pretty narrowly-specific to me, but so far:

-have gear ready and be on the ball in newborn parenting mode when my second child arrives in late May

-complain less about time demands and tiredness

-put on 25lbs of muscle

-lead my group workout at least once every month

-plan a few more romantic and creative date nights with my wife

-stay sober for the whole year, but it has to be ODAAT for me to do it

Honestly, my hope is for the government to approve disability. I also want to live somewhere - not a motel (if it can last).

More “simple” than any freaking time of my entire life.

Last year, I started practicing the 13 magical nights/wishes of yule.

I wrote down 13 intentions (or goals) as if they were fact (or as something that happened). They were all written on 13 pieces of paper and folded. Burned each one after sunset for 12 days beginning on the solstice. The 13th intention or wish was my “task” so to say. It was what I was to work on and left the rest of the intentions for the Universe to take care of.

Can say with confidence that I took care of my intention this year because I’ve been the fittest I’ve ever been!

There’s other things I’m doing tonight/tomorrow that may be considered witchy. Depends how you view it.

Needless to say, I’m excited! :star_struck:

I’m turning 30 in 2026… I’ve been saying all year that my goal is to make 30 the best year yet (I know- not a measurable goal :joy::see_no_evil_monkey:). But on a more serious note, realistically I’m setting a goal to run a half marathon :flexed_biceps:t3:

Half Marathons are awesome! I’m kind of addicted to them. Check out the running thread if you want, there’s about 4 or 5 of us that share running banter.

My new year’s resolution is the same as every year for I think the last 20 years: Clean and tidy the kitchen before you go to bed.
I started from once a week and pretty much chaos back then and now I am at about 5 days per week and rarely chaos looking back on this year.

I love this little resolution very much because working on it has big impact in many ways and betters my life. Still :folded_hands:
Yes, that’s all for me.

  • Add another sober year to my life.
  • Aim to workout 3 times a week (with a minimum of 2).
  • Be less at my phone and more present in real life.
  • Focus on the good things in life and writing down one each day.

Wow great idea for a thread @Madds!!

For 2026, my goals are:
PHYSICAL

  • To lose 5lb a month by exercising and following a healthy diet while being in a calorie deficit. Healthy diet will consist of 30gr+ fiber/day and 30-50gr protein per meal. No egg yolks, Limit beef and pork, No fried foods (fries, fried chicken), No fast foods, No baked goods, No full fat dairy products, No processed meats (hotdogs, bacon, sausages, deli meat), No processed snacks (chips, cookies), Reduce salt intake, and Reduce added sugar
  • To repair my relationship with food by attending 1 ED zoom group a week as well as attending all sessions of my LifestyleRX program (which begins in January)

SPIRITUAL

  • Attend my online church twice a month on Sunday if time allows (since I’ll be at work)
  • Pray every morning before I start my day

RECOVERY

  • Remain clean and sober for another year
  • Make sure to do my recovery routine daily which consists of… gratitude lists, checking in on TS, helping others, reading daily reflections, and prayer

Love all of these- they gave me some great ideas! I like to set intentions for the new year- they’re more about the energy i want to bring with me into 2026 and less discrete goals. Like “go somewhere alone” or “be a better leader at work” or “work on being more independent” and then the more typical “volunteer” and “read one new book a month”. Happy new year everyone!

My biggest goal is to cut down on screen time. 1 year without Instagram and using only fb for marketplace when necessary.

My other goal is to maintain my current weight and get back into my gym more consistently. I have health issues that took away how I loved to lift weights but there are other things I can do/ ways I can lift.

I have made a few:

Continue sobriety, get back to a full year in 2026.

I started slowing my smoking a while back, had some turmoil so it hasn’t been as successful, but I want to end 2026 smoke free per my original goal!

Ride my harley more, I have a program I can do with the group I ride with which makes it measurable.

Get settled into my new place and make progress building a life full of peace and love.
