It’s raining and cold/ gloomy today but I have to try to make the best of it even though I already feel like a caged animal this morning! I hope it maybe clears up today so I can be outside and play some sports or go to the beach or biking trails ! I wanted to be outside so I was walking around my parents property with a umbrella.. I also have a few places to go but I don’t like driving in the rain.. heck I don’t like driving when its perfect out lol

Playing legos in the shed and going to listen to some random cassette tapes I found in this box! I really have enjoyed learning to build legos and it calms me down and it’s helping me in so many ways. I been buying very basic lego sets.. This sonic one has like 150 pieces I think but eventually I would like to get some larger sets like a city or house or something! There was a pretty cool bonsai tree LEGO set that was $50 but I’ll probably wait to buy that
I know these tapes are mine but don’t remember where I got them..

It really is! The legos are not as costly as I thought and for now I think I will probably buy one small set a week till I get better at putting them together. I can feel my brain being challenged so I think that’s good. There so much fun things to do that I forgot about when I was in my addiction and its been cool to get back into old hobbies but also to try new ones. I haven’t been bored in almost 2 years and I’m grateful for that.

Something about having physical copies of music where you can look at the music art work , hold it or read the little booklet .. I definitely been buying cds, tapes, records and dvds again .. especially in the last year or so. Plus as far as music I really like the sound of music on tape or vinyl.. its cool hearing the tape rolling sound and analog sounds warmer and better
PS: If you want to get cassette tapes or cds thrift stores are good , yard sales, and definitely online. Where I live they have a bunch of thrift stores that is pretty much a bunch of used stuff nobody wants anymore and it’s good for clothes and electronics, books, and kitchen stuff. Not sure if they have places like this where you live?

Yes, they are everywhere. Matter of fact, I actually work at one of ‘em. Trouble is I don’t have a tape player anymore and haven’t for years. I got back into vinyl again a few years ago, though.
I’m right with you about the sound quality of tapes and records. I miss hearing those little hissing noises, cracles and pops. I love analog.

That’s cool you work at one even though I can imagine it’s tough sometimes because working retail is definitely not easy.
And yes the crackles and pops! I was trying to think of how to explain that and I also love that sound.

Got off work at 5. I work at a mom and pop hardware store. Finished stocking the truck, helped customers, sweep and cleaned under the PVC pipe backstock shelves, filled back stock, cut at least 20 house keys, cut some window glass, and did some stuff with the fork lift.
Just ended a 52 hour work week and it’s been very cold and gloomy today but I’ve been making the best of it. Got a few chores done after I got home and for a long time been in the habit of getting my morning routine set up at night so my day starts off with less stress like setting up the coffee machine, laying clothes out and food I will need.. even though I’m off tomorrow I have learned to still do that.. so got that done and some things off my list. Going to rest tonight and hang on here, read or learn something, and figure out my plans for the weekend. Sunday is supposed to be 27 degree low but 20 to 30 mph winds so really in the teens. It might snow again and actually lay on the ground like it did last year ( live in Florida !!!) I guess we’ll see.. Hope everyone is having a good day or night where ever you are.. Stay warm !!

Today’s a day off for me, but still got stuff to get done. Just got out of physical therapy, now at a tire shop getting a bad tire checked out on my wife’s car. Then back home to do a ton of laundry, clean up the kitchen, etc. Go to the store and pick up a few things, then figure out a dinner plan for later tonight.

Lots of housework to do today, I have a laundry bomb awaiting me in the utility room 
My husband and I are at opposite ends of the spectrum, I’m a morning person and he’s a night owl. He’d happily sleep half the day away. Currently, I’m contemplating risking waking him to ask him if he’d like to come hill walking with me. Wish me luck
