Lovely bike mate! Is that a Leo vince end can I see there?
Location: South Sikkim in the foothills of the Himalayas.
South Sikkim , is considered an easy ride. The real fun is North Sikkim but that’s closed for most of the time due to bad weather.
It’s a small Himalayan place with an almost zero crime rate. Very safe.
The sweetest part is that you can select whichever bike you want to rent. They have a huge selection from almost everywhere. And it is dirt cheap.
So you need to choose wisely. I did not choose very well. I choose a Royal Enfield Himalayan. Well the Himalayan did not work well in the Himalayas. It is too high for me. A lower seat would suit me better.
You need to be careful though. The mountains are lonely and if you go over the edge, noone will probably ever know.
On the good days you come across an average of 3 landslides. The people are super friendly and everything is super cheap. For me it was almost a spiritual experience.
You can ride almost to the Chinese border. They don’t allow you beyond that
