I also have to move the furniture weekly to retrieve all the toys.
Betty is a beauty!
Card Board one day, Glass the next and maybe plastic or blankets tomorrow… so precious!
Kiki can’t have anything nice
This has been ‘her spot’ for the past month and I don’t think Krieger knew about it. He never naps anywhere in my room, but yesterday I find him here! No doubt by bulldozing his way in to push her out. Just now she went in and starred at him sleeping there. She meowed her complaint and turned around He’s such a bully.
Hello there gorgeous
Out of interest: how do you approach a deaf cat, so you don’t scare the crap out of them every time?
He misses absolutely nothing most of my floors are wooden so he can feel you approach.
If he is awake he can tell you are coming by the change in light/shadows.
So precious and both of your cats are adorable!
Thank you. I’d be lost without them!
@Dirk … sorry for intruding… I too once had a deaf cat… He was also very aware… We did however teach it NO by spelling with the hand. He loved putting his paws on the fire place sill and were always afraid of him getting burned.
Thanks for bringing back lovely memory of my Clyde.
Luna has the “I’m just about to go to sleep” look on her face!
You never intrude, @tailee17, and thank you for sharing your memories! Any chance of a pic of Clyde?
No pictures - I am sure there are some buried in storage. Clyde lived in the early 1980’s. New photo phones are 1 great reason for the technology.
I have a deaf cat, too. She also doesn’t miss much. I tap my foot on the floor or flip the lights off and on when i want to get her attention. She watches the other cat closely and takes cues from him. She knows a few signs, too.
One thing i didn’t expect and can’t get used to is she’s loud. Like full volume every time she meows, which is a lot
