Rosie was 5 when we got Tony as a kitten. I so wanted her to mother him. Nope! Now at 8 and 3 he is the aggravating little brother. Sleep near each other but not touching.

Since Krieger woke me up 3 hours early, I made it a point to wake him up every time I noticed him napping

This is the first time that I have two cats that bond that well (they have also their moments of fights and chasing), with the other two cats it wasn’t this way with Moka. I guess it depends on each character, and the end they are all different!

Your words kept ringing in my head, @Mno, and I spent a serious amount of time sick on the couch/in bed over the weekend, so… I did a thing and applied to adopt a rescue cat from “a feline only non-profit animal rescue that is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of sick, injured, and feral kittens.”
My neighbor volunteers there so even if the adoption doesn’t work out for whatever reason, I am hopeful that I will be able to volunteer for them too, that in itself would be fulfilling. But secretly, I am hoping that a lovely cat will join me on my couch very soon!

My Rosie had a brother who was a litter mate. They always snuggled! He passed away and Tony showed up three weeks later. Literally showed up at my back door. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Well… I finally did buy a bigger cat bed! And so far… so good! They don’t always hang out together, but it has been used already for the first time!
