Pops is back!!!

He is a lot thinner and a bit unsteady on his partially paralysed leg, but he is back!!! He was missing for 11 days/nights and then he just turned up again in the yard, sitting on the storage box in front of the kitchen window.

I am sooo relieved
I was slowly preparing myself to never see him again, to have to cancel the pet insurance and the flea-/dewormer subscription and to potentially never get closure.

Today is a good day! Thank you to everyone who was rooting, hoping, wishing, praying for Pops to come home

Yay!!! I am so happy for you and for Pops!! I was hoping, hoping, hoping he would show up! About a year ago I had a friend who has a cat who disappeared for over a week.
Then he showed up, but he wouldn’t eat and he wouldn’t drink. He would go to the bowl of each and just look at it.. he did this for several days before he went to the vet.
At the vet, they said they didn’t know what was wrong. They started doing treatments to see what would help him. Eventually, some of the treatments worked and he came back to normal. Had no idea where he went, no idea what happened to him, no idea what was wrong with him, no idea what made him better. Sometimes I like to think somebody picked him up because he was so cute and took him 100 miles away and he had to find his way back over Hill and Dale back to his home
Anyway I’m so happy for you @HolySquid and all along I was just hoping, hoping, hoping that he would show back up. Darn Cats.

It might be worth a pop to the vets for pop. The only worry is dehydration in cats that go missing… Slowly slowly on the food.

I’m so happy for you, I was thinking about Pops right before I fell asleep last night!

@HolySquid, excellent news that Pops is home
About 20 years ago, while at Brize Norton, Jess our then matriarch went missing.
We searched, asked around, put up flyers all the good stuff.
Eventually after 3 weeks home she totterd looking very thin.
She’d gotten into a neighbour’s storage shed, which he swore blind he’d checked, and couldn’t get out.
So, what I’m trying to say is never loose hope.
As @Tragicfarinelli said a trip to the the vets is in order.
