Hi Eric, yeah! They play together by now. Toffee is still a grumpy little b€&)/ sometimes, and I still can’t touch her. But Moka has “Toffeetis”, he loves to be around his big sister!
I have been home sick since Christmas day… awaiting my covid test results. My sweet bubs has not left my side💕
I’m sure you’ve provided a list of the zoo crew more than once here. Summary…how many dogs and how many cats? I’m guessing 2 and 4? Do they always travel with you?
Here is my kitty, she is on my lap right now and just jumped down! She is warm and furry, loving and looks beautiful. We have a problem though. Since last Thursday she has been hesitating on some of her jumps or aborting them and then redoing them. She hasnt fallen and can get where she wants… anyway trip to a new vet on Wednesday. Her vet quit practicing a few months ago. Six months ago she was throwing up constantly and was 7,75 pounds, now she is 11.5 pounds thanks to her food and her medicine. I am hoping she has just gained too much weight. She had “health problems” in the summer but ended up thriving even though she could have cancer. It is scary. Will see what we find out, or don’t find out … Keep your fingers crossed please. She has been my joy, delight, comfort and companion for many years. Right now I am just asking for more days. She is not acting sick, she is eating just fine (maybe too much) , just not making some of her jumps. Thanks for your thoughts.
What a nice cat! I will keep my fingers crossed! How old is she? Maybe it’s a joint issue, it’s common with older cats. But maybe she is still young?
Yes 2 dog 4 cats.
And yes they travel back and forth with us. We would never leave our children over the holidays. We do have a new kennel finally. We’ve used the twice late fall for short family trips. I hope we can do more of that.
She’s soon to be 14.
Aha! My first cat has had joint issues. When she laid down for a while and tried to stand up that wasn’t easy for her. She also couldn’t jump anymore. I gave her CBD oil and that has helped for the pain. Hope your vet find what she has, keep us posted!
Sorry to read this Alisa.
What’s her name?
Our Alice is almost 15. She’s been on Gabapentin tiny tabs, From a compounding pharmacy for a pretty long time now. It’s helped her a lot. Then she was struggling again. So our vet bumped up the dosage. It seemed to work for awhile. I think it’s arthritis for Alice though. Now she’s still on Gabapentin but is also taking onsior now and it is helping a lot. But now we are keeping an eye on her kidney values. Kelly and I both agree on quality of life and we don’t want Alice in pain. Maybe the kidney values are high because of age. Or maybe the onsior. We don’t know. Oh and now she’s eating the prescription kidney diet. She seems happy. Friendly and not in pain and gets up on things like she like to do. Good luck with your sweet kitty. She’s gorgeous.
Good luck with a new vet. I hope they are cat friendly.
I picked this vet bc she was good at reading sonograms and figure out later that she read my kitty’s sonogram when she was at an ER in another town in June. ( maybe remotely) so I hope she’s a good clinician. She’s been on prednisolone since June and been great till all of a sudden she’s less so.
Thanks for thinking about her.
Alisa sending love for you and your sweet fluff
I hope you like the vet and that she’s okay. Give her lots of kisses from me
Beautiful kitty!! Very possible the prednisolone has made her gain weight. Very possible the weight is the jumping issue. Your sweet girl is lucky you are doing everything you can to make her feel better!
Since I got sick, my sweet boy has not left my side. From bed to couch to bed again, he follows me and curls up on me
I hope you feel better soon, but glad you have your furry friend by your side
Thank you. I tested positive for covid so I will have lots of time in quarantine with kitten cuddles
Owww, sorry to hear Hope you are not that sick? Are you relaxed with it ore worried?
I’m pretty sick, feel like TOTAL CRAP. But I’m not super worried, I’ve been taking meds and vitamins. It’s just a matter of time. The weirdest part of it is to be so hungry from the steroids, but not able to taste anything.
The cat in the backpack is perfection
