Thanks @VSue I will definitely check it out!
Vegucated is good too. It teaches how yo make the transition.
Hi, really sorry for the delay replying!
Mornings usually consist of fruits, bran or oatmeal. Oat milk. Not really a fan but does the job. I never really liked cows milk though so no change.
Lunches always pre made at home. Lentil, bean and rice burritos are a new favourite.
Dinners are a variety of amazing meals cooked from scratch. I’ve never eaten so well. Everything is homemade, sourced as locally as possible. There are sooo many amazing foods that are vegan. Had Mexican this evening and the difference is hardly noticeable. Swap the meat for sweet potatoes, yams, lentils, anything you want.
I’ve never slept better. Felt better. Or looked better. I would say it’s had more or less the same effect on me as getting clean and sober has.
I guess I’m half a vegetarian. I’m actually pescatarian. I have been for a few years a now. It just works for me. I’m not any sort of activist or anything I just do it for my mind and body. Funny how I can control that but not alcohol.
I hear ya on that one! I was able to quit bacon and cheese no problem but it was YEARS before I would even consider my “beloved” wine.
But I’m now almost 3 year sober so it can happen!
Mash up…tofu, onion, green cabbage, mixed mushrooms, peppers, black beans in indian spices
Sautéed Brussel sprouts with with a raspberry vinegar
I love brussels sprouts!!
Me too - was introduced to them a 5 years ago (can’t believe it took that long) and now can’t get enough
Better late than never! I do get a bit annoyed at preparing them sometimes. I like how they grow too. So cool.
I had to google how they grow and found it to be very interesting - so beautiful!
how do you prepare? they can be time consuming but i have only done them one way - cut in half after peeling outter layer and either roasting in oven or pan with a bit of oil then once done i toss in vineaigrette? love to hear other methods (i’ve never tried the boiling one)
Same! I cut off the bottom and peel any yucky leaves, halve, toss with oil and roast. Also good adding in some raisins at the very end.
raisins - nice! i will try that the next time.
