As soon as I hit 30 days alcohol free, I’m going to try to cut out sugar, I’ve been eating a ton of it.
So far I’ve been trying to cut it out. I now only eat it before doing any form of exercise, and as lunch (I only eat fruit and PBJ sandwiches). I also have not had any candy at all for the last 2 years. Feel pretty good tbh
Lots of us! Check out this thread…
I craved honey crisp apples and dark chocolate in the early days, but I’m getting my apple consumption under control. Really, I am.
71 days no extra added sugar.
I definitely waited till I had some good sober time under my belt.
@ShesGotMoxie
Do you eat the dark chocolate and honey crisp together? That and some peanut butter sounds great!
Healthier than a s’mores anyway.
I’ve stopped putting sugar in my tea so I don’t feel so bad about dunking a whole packet of custard creams. I’ve only gained my sanity with alcohol, everything else remains the same
Lord, don’t give me any ideas!
I gave up added sugar and food with traditional sugar(s) three years ago (as well as processed carbs (aka pasta, bread, etc)). I do bake with sugar alcohols however…they do not spike your glucose.
You know what’s great?
Apples and a good cheese (like Gouda).
