Been sober from alcohol for six months today. Recently it seems to be going very slowly but in retrospect six months is six months. I need to get back into my meeting. Recently I haven’t been going but think I may be needing some more support. Is there on anybody in the north west London area who would like to go to a few meetings with me

Congratulations on your 6 months 
I have been to a few meetings face to face and online…face to face are really great. I went alone and everyone was so welcoming everytime.
I’m not a regular at AA. Although I’m quite familiar with it and think it is a great source for support and maintaining recovery.

Welcome to the community Carl - way to go with your 6 months of sobriety! 
I am in the States but i do hope you are able to get back into the meetings so that you can find ways to protect your sobriety and gain support.
This is a wonderful space for support with fellow addicts going through similar struggles.

Yes I am in London.
Unfortunately I’m not in a position to actually meet and go to meetings together
I have read many people meeting life long friends from meetings, I hope this is something that you will find at meetings. Perhaps this would be a good time to ask around the meetings for a sponsor. That would be someone who could be there for you face to face and understanding of what you are going through.
I’m always on here reading, and can be encouraging and supportive from here if that helps a little.
