You did cheat on her. You betrayed your oath to be present with her, through thick and thin, as a partner. You chose booze and drugs over her. It’s the same as having sex with someone else. Think about it. Exactly what is the difference? Either way you’re leaving her - in mind or in body - for something else.
Time to dig back into recovery and go deeper than you did before.

AA has never felt like a pick & choose program. I completed my 11th step this week and had to admit to my sponsor that I lied to her (by omission… leaving out some facts). I have to be accountable or I’m gonna go right back out.
