That sucks i feel so bad for you… I can’t imagine losing a parent not that i’m close with them but still…people take advantage of anything they can…including getting some attention …

I often get calls at the most inopportune time, like when the dentist has 2 fists in my mouth, for example. Same with texts. I often see the text but am not able to respond, and being that I have the attention span of a goldfish, I forget about it. When I remember, it’s been days or weeks later and to save the embarrassment of responding late, I sometimes don’t respond at all. I’ve become what I hate… But I am an adult in 2023 and there are many of us.

I’ve started telling people to go ahead and text me, I may not reply right away or at though. Gotta set realistic expectations. lol

I totally agree you…i get it people get busy shit happens …in my case im literally 7 days clean…so were are all those dudes that supposedly have my back

Ohhh, that is so true of me. I use a calendar to record events & appointments & have to set a reminder that something is scheduled.
It’s tough getting my mind back but my memory doesn’t cooperate.

Congratulations on 7 days! That’s huge! In the end, u have to quit under your own steam. Others can support, but can’t be ur whole program, because they are fallible, we all are. :purple_heart:

I confess that I’m one of those people who prefer texting over talking. If I get a voicemail but don’t particularly feel like chatting right then I at least acknowledge the person and text back. I don’t just ghost 'em and leave them hanging.
