Well tomorrow is the day that I have to go to court to testify against my attacker. I’m so scared and nervous cuz he will be right across the room from me! I know his attorney is going to try to slip me up but my doctor gave me Ativan to help relax. I don’t think I can do this!

Your higher power cares for you and wants you to be sober. Ask for help before and during your time in court and listen for the help.

Is it possible for them to put special measures in place ?
Meaning you are out into a private room away from everyone while you wait.

Also in the court room they make sure he can’t see you.

He was found guilty however he remains out on bail until his sentencing on December 4th so I’m still terrified that he will stalk me like before court. He makes sure that he doesn’t step foot on my property and stays 500 ft. Away from me because of the restraining order but this is a small town of only 9,000 people so I cross paths with him at Walmart and now he is pissed off cuz he is facing up to 2 years of jail time. I’m just really scared.

Ah hell that’s insane. Glad he was found guilty but having to wait over 1 month for sentencing is terrible. I’m sorry for the added anxiety and fear that this is creating. Being in a small town doesn’t help matters any.

Are you able to request frequent police check ins? I hate that you feel unsafe. Is a friend or family member able to stay with you? I am hoping that he stays clear of you and doesn’t cause any problems.

Deep breaths my friend. I know this month was already a lot but know that you have made it through the thick of it. Wishing you luck with your DUI case and I do hoope things start to turn around for you :pray::people_hugging:
