I’m worried about my daughter. I am trying to talk her into going to rehab. I haven’t seen her not drinking in a year or more. The last few times I’ve seen her, she’s had involuntary slow shaking. Like her arms sort of flap up and down. I’ve read about asterixis. Can that involve the entire arm?
I’ve personally only ever seen or known people with tremors of the hands related to alcohol, never heard of the whole arm flapping up and down, but I’m far from an expert.
I’d talk to a medical professional. I hope she gets the help she needs!

I hope so too. I helped her 12yo son speak to her last night. She agreed to quit, but she’s said that before. With this new symptom, I am very concerned about encephalopathy.
