My son would! My daughter was less impressed
Im the one to try some real crazy foods but i think ill pass on the grasshoppers aw noo she was not having it on the other hand look at him go Beautiful kids
No way! Not sober or drunk. I don’t find bugs appetizing.
The luxury of selective taste is afforded to only those who have never been truly hungry.
We would ALL eat bugs if hungry enough.
They are also amazing sources of protein and increasingly will become a valuable part of the food chain for the world.
I’d eat em
Oh. I thought we were talking Girl Scout cookies.
Yeah I have…
I’ve eaten a few unusual foods from different countries
Yes. 100% yes It would be interesting & unique. And - insects are a source of protein & various other nutrients at a fraction of the carbon footprint of animal meat. There’s a company in my city doing food and recipes with crickets - and they’ve come up with some creative stuff!
I think I heard of a company making bread with cricket flour. That would be much more palatable, these managed to be crunchy and watery at the same time.
Yeah, but I draw the line at live grubs
I was going to post if they were chocolate covered Joy
Now you got me rethinking this. Chocolate makes everything taste good.
I’m sure I would if I were starving. Lol. Your son is braver than I am.
This is at my local store. Great source of protein and b12. And more environmentally friendly compared to some meat farming, since less carbon emitted and less water used.
As have I. Chocolate Crickets too .
I will try anything once. I had this friend growing up and his parents were from Vietnam. They gave me some weird stuff to eat. Scorpions, snakes, insects. I tried it all!
Then when I lived in Alaska I had some Native friends. Their moms gave me whale meat and seal meat. I tried that too
Surprisingly it doesn’t taste fishy. Like at all.
That is what I remember about it most. That it didn’t taste like fish.
My friends mom was like, well duh. A whale is a mammal.
It taste gamey for sure. Almost closer to moose meat. Rubbery moose meat.
For me it was very special to eat it. My friends mom was from a little village way up north and her people still harvested whales the same way they have for hundreds and hundreds of years.
So when she offered it to me, I gladly tried some.
All and all, it’s not very good. Lol
If wrapped in Bacon, sure!
In a post apocalyptic world and if my life depended on it lol
Yea. A few years ago we had an alternative Christmas and had crocodile and ostrich for dinner then kangaroo on Boxing Day. We played games that involved eating wierd stuff if you got your question wrong. It was like a Bushtucker Trial, if you know the show? Best Christmas we ever had, the kids loved it
