Thank you! I so needed to read this tonight, first post that popped up in app. I hit 5 days a few minutes ago since my last drop of booze.
I haven’t gone more than 2 or 3 days in the last year maybe more. …then I would binge. Ugh.

How did I do it? Well first off I almost drank my self to the end and the doctor asking me if my heart stops do you want us to try an bring you back? I was like what the hell Yes bring me back…because I went cold turkey body was tripping out but I always thought of that … It helps me move forward…
Best advice is clear your mind stay busy find a new hobby I got into printing t-shirts lol helps me keep my mind clear…
Improvements yes I still holding the same job my health is a lot better my kids are happy I don’t wake with a hangover anymore I can actually enjoy my days plus I had my fair share of the drinking maybe even way more…
Big change I don’t go out any more I lost all my so called friends I ran into 2 of them and man they live in the streets … And I’m a live and I’m happy for that…just keep pushing forward y’all…your not alone in this
