I want to share how much I love many of the great yoga and exercise videos on youtube (free!). I get up early and do at least half an hour of something before the kids are up, and it improves my mood all day.
For exercise – cardio, hiit, strength, kickboxing – i love Kelli on Fitnessblender. It’s simple, no frills, she has a lovely positive attitude, and it makes me feel great. They have different levels. Anybody can do it, any degree of fitness.
I really like yoga with adriene. She is funny and has a lot of positive, meditative messages. I also love Fightmaster Yoga., and Yoga with Candace. I just did a total body fightmaster one today, and loved it. I love the long corpse pose at the end; a great invitation to tune in and connect.
All these things, plus a lot of walking outside, have been superimportant for me emotionally and psychologically in staying sober. When I was younger, I had no idea that my depression and anxiety and heavy drinking were made worse by lack of exercise and lack of yoga. Everyone should try it and feel good!
