Its a busy time of year for us! Summer starts with my wifes birthday, then mothers day, fathers day, our anniversary, 4th of july, my birthday was monday, and my sons is tomorrow! Whew!!! So its been non stop summer fun. Winding down this month, then its smooth sailing til Thanksgiving and christams. I get so wrapped up in the day to day that sometimes I forget to check in much here, but I did check in at day 421, after my birthday. Iād been reflecting all day (my birthday) about the good ive accomplished. Its really amazing that as fucked up as i grew up i even turned out ok, but to be thriving alcohol free and all, I feel really good about myself!
I had a co worker say in passing Wednesday that he was proud of me for making a year, something we hadnt even discussed, so ive become quite the success story around the fellas, he also told me he quit, hes just over a month. That felt awesome. I feel like Iām inspiring people to be the best versions of themselves, and that makes my heart full!

yes you have done amazingly considering all youve had going on in your life it really is inspirationalā¦its lovely when people give you such compliments and being able to inspire others gives u that nice fuzzy warm feelingā¦i see those types of thing as little gifts that sobriety gives you to keep pushing you forward so glad your doing so well

Thanks for thinking of me and my kitty. 
Her Royal Meowness is doing well for her age. I am popping on here in the mornings to look at memes to pry me from sleep after my alarm goes off, but my health has been so bad recently that I havenāt felt like socializing in person or online. Still clean and sober, just very anti-social at the moment.
I hope you are also doing well!

I am so grateful you shared this. I played it on a speaker so my husband could hear and it made us both cry. Iām so glad there are people beginning to see that our society only piles on the wreckage and itās not working. We have both lost friends to addiction and it was isolation that certainly contributed.
