10 years sober relapse embarassed

We’re all just one bad decision from a relapse there is no shame in admitting you had a slip up qnd thought you could drink again. It takes real courage to admitting when you make a mistake all we can do is learn from them and move on. It’s not like you have failed at anything the only failure is when you don’t get back up and try again. Honestly your story here and what your doing to keep moving forward could really help someone and I know from experience of having to pick up many 24hr chips, that you could truly help a newcomer that’s coming into AA! Please go to meetings and share your post has really inspired my I’m only 7 months into my recovery!

My manager has over 20 years of sobriety, never did AA. She does work on her recovery, absolutely. Thankfully now we have many wonder sobriety communities. I do AA and The Luckiest Club. There is no one right or wrong path to sobriety.
